UK simulation attraction and effects theatre specialist Simworx is currently enjoying major success with its Morphis Movieride Theatres in countries around the globe.

One such story comes from Bulgaria where the Ventura Group has recently ordered a second, 20-seat Morphis simulator following the huge success of its first unit over the past 12 months. Ventura has operated its first version on the seafront at Sunny Beach, on the Black Sea, since May 2007, and its overwhelming popularity has resulted in an order for a second unit being placed to cater for the demand.

The most popular film in the first of the group's simulators has been Ravine Race, while Ventura also designed a pre-show area for waiting riders which incorporates screens showing the inside of the capsule during rides. Thus, those in the queue line have been able to see riders enjoying the experience while also seeing the film itself on other screens.

"The Ventura Group has enjoyed huge success with its first Morphis Movieride Theatre", confirmed Simworx Managing Director Terry Monkton, "proof of which is to be found in the fact that they have ordered a second unit just 12 months after delivery of the first. They made a superb attraction even better with the pre-show area and are delighted with the results. The great thing about the two units is that the client has chosen bright vibrant colours, the first being a Ford Orange and the second a Metallic Mazda Green (lime green) so they will make a striking combination".

Simworx has also recently teamed up with de pinxi in Belgium to create the first ever interactive 4D Mobile Morphis Movieride Theatre, with the Belgian company providing the interactive technology for the unit. Featuring an educational film called the Future of Medicine, a virtual journey through the human body, each rider has a joystick via which they are able to influence the way the simulator moves as well as interacting with what is happening on the screen. Additionally, every seat has its own individual console for further interaction, with buttons, display and multi-lingual sound system. The exclusive de pinxi system combines group navigation and social experience with highly individualised interaction, while total immersion is ensured by the use of special effects (light, bubbles and wind) and the spatialised 5.1 sound track. The unit is set to travel around educational venues in Portugal under the ownership of the Champalimaud Foundation and Terry Monkton noted: "This is being launched as a new product and the interactive elements can be retrofitted to existing Morphis Movieride Theatres. We have teamed with de pinxi to offer interactive Movieride Theatres with custom films worldwide, which brings a totally new element to the product and therefore new ways of entertaining riders".
